Permit Compliance
The 5-2-1 DA intends to apply for a single NPDES Phase II Stormwater Permit with the State of Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) to replace four current permit holders: Grand Junction, Palisade, Mesa County, and the Grand Valley Drainage District. A single entity will then be responsible for stormwater quality and will administer the permit. These are unfunded, federal environmental mandates. Failure to comply may result in fines of up to $10,000 a day to the 5-2-1 DA. The following lists of areas have been defined by the State for mandated oversight by a governing authority. The 5-2-1 DA will be carrying out the mandated oversight.
